There is good analysis on getting the number we need (25x expenses). Also how to access money early (taxable accounts and Roth contribution amounts if necessary). Also ACA is likely the path for health insurance. However, what/how do you actually do you actually make that launch? For ACA, is there a best time to enroll (likely open enrollment but also if you separate from service, maybe can do whenever?). How do you fill that likely month or two insurance gap? (COBRA?) How do you make sure your checking account is full without being too full of cash? You get the idea
The checklist to do the 3-6 months before you retire early.

I've heard that COBRA can be started up retroactively, so if so (make sure to check if it applies to you!) you could go without health insurance until the ACA is active. If you have a major health expense in the months "without insurance", you retroactivately pay for COBRA to have it pay for your health expenses.
Some people also make sure to get some screening and preventative care done in the months leading up to quitting, so that could be on your to do list for those last couple of months.
