Just saw the robinhood Concierge service pop up on the app. If you keep $1 million in assets on the platform, they will provide "free" tax preparation including business and rental real estate returns. Also included are free estate planning and financial planning. Thoughts on this value add? Not the biggest fan of how they gamify investing but if you're holding the same low cost index funds here, seems like a few thousand dollars worth of services included.

They are starting to come out with some nice features. Mostly because of Vanguards model which I love and the way Robinhood structures their accounts for my specific situation I don’t use them. However, I would say if you can stand not falling prey to the short term investing, Robinhood features are pretty nice. They came out with a 3% cash back card, 3%match on IRA if you subscribe to their gold account are pretty good. I know their “ethos” is about gamifying trading. But I don’t like credit card companies ethos yet I use them for their benefits. So I think it comes down to know yourself and seeing if those nice features are worth it.

If you have a million in investable assets lying around, I wouldn't be making the evaluation of which company to use based on tax preparation. I'm looking more at the core ethos of the company.

I've always felt that Robinhood about the Wall Street Casino and not the Wall Street Wealth Builders. I'd be voting with my wallet and staying out of it.
