Moving a partner into my family home

Hi, I have been living in and paying rent in a home owned by a family trust. My question is regarding moving in my partner. I will create a rental lease . Would I list the trust’s name as the lessor? Just trying to be smart about it.

Yep, since the house is owned by the trust, you’d list the trust as the landlord on the lease. You’d just sign it as the person authorized to act for the trust. It keeps everything straightforward and avoids any confusion down the line. Definitely check the trust documents if you’re not 100% sure about your signing authority.
