What tool are there to know if I’m saving enough for taxes.

This past year I was short over $1000 on taxes despite my educated withholding amount added in addition to standard withdrawels. What tools have been used where I can check up during the year and make sure I am on track to not owe too much nor get a large refund. Thanks!

If you are relatively familiar with doing a tax return- I use a fillable excel that is pre set with all the calculations and forms you need.

If you are a w2 employee, it's a good idea to run a withholding calculator periodically to make sure you are withholding enough in taxes.
