Pork And Peanut Dragon Noodles

Pork And Peanut Dragon Noodles

We absolutely love this recipe! I love Asian food but always have trouble finding recipes to make at home that taste authentic and this is one that I have made a few times because it's so simple, requires very few ingredients, and is delicious! This recipe is from the food blog budgetbytes.com. I didn't make any adjustments the first time I made this; however, it was VERY spicy, so the second time I made it, I used slightly less than half the amount of the chili garlic sauce. We really like spicy food but with the full ¼ cup of chili garlic sauce, it was way too spicy for us. The recipe says it makes 3 servings. I would say it made us 2 nice large adult servings. The second time I made it I doubled it, so there were 4 servings and that was easy to do.

Dragon Sauce

  • 2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce
  • ½ cup soy sauce
  • ½ cup brown sugar

Pork and Noodles

  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 12 ounces ramen noodles ((4 packages))
  • 6 green onions (sliced)
  • ½ cup unsalted peanuts (chopped)
  1. Combine the [wprm-ingredient text="2 tablespoons chili garlic sauce" uid="1"], [wprm-ingredient text="½ cup brown sugar" uid="3"], [wprm-ingredient text="½ cup soy sauce" uid="2"] in a bowl.

  2. Add the [wprm-ingredient text="1 pound ground pork" uid="5"] to a skillet and cook over medium heat until it is fully browned. Once browned, add the prepared dragon sauce and [wprm-ingredient text="½ cup unsalted peanuts" uid="8"]. Allow the pork and peanuts to simmer in the sauce for another 5 minutes, or until the sauce has reduced by half.

  3. While the pork is browning, begin boiling water for your noodles. Once boiling, add your [wprm-ingredient text="12 ounces ramen noodles" uid="6"] and cook according to the package directions. Drain the noodles in a colander.

  4. Once the sauce has reduced and the noodles have drained, add the noodles to the skillet and toss until everything is combined and coated in sauce. Top with [wprm-ingredient text="6 green onions" uid="7"] and serve!
