Welcome to ChooseFI ("we", "our", or "us"). By accessing or using our website, mobile application, and services (collectively, the "Platform"), you agree to these Terms of Service ("Terms"). Please read them carefully.
1. Eligibility
You must be at least 13 years old to use our Platform. By using the Platform, you represent and warrant that you meet this requirement.
2. Account Responsibilities
You are responsible for maintaining the confidentiality of your account credentials and for all activities that occur under your account. You agree to notify us immediately of any unauthorized use of your account.
3. User Content Ownership and License
You retain ownership of all content you create and post on the Platform, including discussions, comments, and contributions.
However, by posting content publicly on the Platform, you grant ChooseFI a perpetual, worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free license to host, store, display, reproduce, and, if necessary, modify (e.g., anonymize) your public content in order to operate and preserve the integrity of community discussions.
Private user content, such as financial projections and private messages, is not considered public content and will be permanently deleted if you delete your account.
4. Account Deletion and Content Anonymization
You may delete your account at any time. When you do:
All your private personal data, including financial projections and private messages, will be permanently deleted from our systems.
Your public posts and comments will remain to preserve the continuity of community discussions but will be anonymized. (For example, your username will be replaced with a generic label such as "Deleted User," and no identifying profile information will be associated with the posts.)
5. Prohibited Conduct
You agree not to:
Use the Platform for any unlawful purpose.
Upload or transmit content that is abusive, threatening, defamatory, obscene, or otherwise objectionable.
Violate the rights of others, including intellectual property rights.
Interfere with or disrupt the normal operation of the Platform.
6. Termination
We reserve the right to suspend or terminate your account at our discretion, with or without notice, if we believe you have violated these Terms or for any other reason.
7. Disclaimers
The Platform is provided on an "as-is" and "as-available" basis. We disclaim all warranties, express or implied, including warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement.
We do not guarantee the accuracy or reliability of user-submitted content.
8. Limitation of Liability
To the fullest extent permitted by law, ChooseFI shall not be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising out of or related to your use of the Platform.
9. Governing Law
These Terms are governed by the laws of the United States and the Commonwealth of Virginia, without regard to conflict of law principles.
10. Changes to These Terms
We may update these Terms from time to time. If we make material changes, we will notify you by updating the effective date at the top of this page and providing notice within the Platform or via email.
Your continued use of the Platform after any updates means you accept the new Terms.
