Hi all - I am about 10 months into my move from the states to the Netherlands and looking to hear any tips or best practices from anyone who has done it before me!

I agree with the other comment since it will drastically change based on your situation. I moved to Belgium and I am here studying a master's degree, but also wanted to try out life in Europe if I wanted to do this long term. Overall, it has been great, but also have had multiple times being overwhelmed by the differences. I've been here almost 2 years so have figured out most of the everyday life stuff but still learning each day. Let me know if I can help.

What do you mean by 10 months in? Have you been preparing for 10 months, or have you arrived in the Netherlands 10 months ago? What's your situation like when it comes to work, education, age, assets, living situation, family members etc?
I live in the Netherlands, my advice would be very different for someone single aged 22 with a college degree and $50k debt vs someone who is 80% to FI status and has a family and three kids to move.
